Also got in, couldnt work out how to start due to being keyless and more buttons and things than the flight deck of the enterprise! sorted it now but darent touch anything lol.

These ecoboost engines will be the future for all manufacturers, how they will perform in ten years time I've no clue. Its witch craft how they can get the power for a 1.0 when the yanks can only get 450bhp out of a 8L engine fitted to a viper in days gone by.

Regards the keyless entry/start. It may make little sense to you at first, but its just so so much better than keys.
I've had my car with keyless entry/start for nearly 2 years. When I get handed keys for the work vans/cars, I forget when you get to the door to have to unlock the car and even when I get into the car I leave the keys in my pocket and have to get out to pull the keys out my pocket again.

I suppose a Ford would seem complicated to someone who is used to driving a hairdressers car.
They only have an extra vanity mirror and a lipstick holder.

I did a fair few miles in a Mondeo 1.6 last year, it was brand new and it was a HELL of a car. When I was told it was 1.6 I was gutted but it blew my mind and was better than the 320 BMW I used after it in may ways.

Depends on which model 1.6 you're comparing it with. I believe the only 1.6 model that is slower than the 1.0 is the bottom of the line Focus which is a non turbo beast.

Thanks to my business I get to try al of the latest cars. It was quite a surprise when I was doing 110 uphill on a left hand curve in a 1.4tsi vw polo. These small engines are pumping out serious horses.

I still prefer the 5.0 Mercedes CLS I get to take home when my rover 75 2.5 v6 company car is out on demo

Then again, owts better than a TT Tangle Teaser hair dressers cars

You have a rover 75 as a company car...Christ where do you work 1999?

It's not really a company car, more one of the cars we have lying around from either a part exchange or LPG training vehicle.

It's a small family run business and I just take whichever car I pick the keys up for. It usually the rover I get but can be a different car every week and this week it's a 2000 Renault Scenic rx4

I can't complain, free car, free insurance and tax and best of all free fuel. Me and some of the nort east lads have played at courses well over a hour away and got there FOC
