Following today's Doctors appointment, it has become necessary to withdraw from this years competition. I know it won't surprise most of you, but I thought it best to officially confirm with all the Captains. I'd like to say a big thank you to all the Captains, who are doing a great job cramming in all the games. It must be like shepherding kittens sometimes.

I'm now going to put all my efforts into improving the elbow enough to play in York, but even if I can't play, I'll still be there to support the guys who are playing. Good luck everyone for the rest of the competition and I hope that the final at Lee Park is a great day.

Cheers guys and gal,

Danny

Cheers mate. Will definitely get a round in as soon as I'm able. Might see if I can get a couple of the guys to make a trip up to your neck of the woods for a change..

Good stuff, plenty of hosts on the links in the west mate, you'll all be more than welcome im sure.

Just make sure you are right mate before you start swishing it round again, no need to force it pal

Theres a round on ice at my gaff for you when you get yourself right again too mate.

Gutted to hear that pal. Was hoping you were on the mend! Best getting 100% fit though mate. Can have a few ales in York mate!

Cheers mate. Gutted that I've missed an entire season of golf. Had high hopes for this year as well.

Those ales on the Yorkshire Ale Trail are the only thing keeping me going. I'm having some real moments of apathy to the golf at the moment. And having those shiny new Cobras staring back at me after only being used 4 times is causing me nightmares. But the biggest nightmares are coming from the fact that I might have to stick some horrible plastic shafts in them next year if the elbow won't fully heal....:o.. I blame Scouser. If I hadn't had to play him at your place, I'd probably be OK now...:D

You couldn't possibly do that to those clubs, far better to donate them to me and get yourself some g10's with graphite shafts

Seriously though, sorry to hear how long it's taking for you to recover, be good when you're fit to play again so we can get a game mate.

Hope you can get it properly sorted Danny.

Cheers Louise. Getting a bit depressing now....

I think I just threw up a bit!!!!! :(

We'll get that game again soon mate. Pleasington seems like an age ago now...

Sorry to hear that Dan, really hope you get sorted for York mate.

Don't think I've spoken to you since you went on holiday. just to let you know, all the deposits are paid and everyone can pay the outstanding amounts on the day at each club, So that's a bit of a headache out of the way.
I gave the Lee Park lads their deposits for moor Allerton back via LB.
Im on holiday next week but I'll give you a bell when I get back to sort the finer details. Take it easy mate and rest that Elbow

Good to hear everything goings smoothly mate. If you are heading up to the range at Adlington I'll pop up and have a chat. They've usually got some decent clothes at good prices. I may as well look the part eh?

Sorry to hear this Danny, was hoping you'd get some games in as a warm up for York.
Hope you can play on that trip but make sure it's right.
Plenty of time left to play.
When you're ready for a game just let us know.

Just get your shoulders right for the ale trail in york !!!!

Seriously tho, hope it gets better soon bud !!

Cheers guys. Makes me feel better to know that people are wanting me to get better. Will make sure that I'm ready for the Ale Trail, if not the golf. Will also make sure that I'm in good shape for next years Comp. Might even volunteer to be a Captain if I've managed to move to Houghwood.....

Sad news mate, but glad to hear you'll be up for York, whether playing golf or not.

A bit of an anus horribalis for you, the injury, missing Wigan's cup final, then them going down. Maybe I should start this again.....

Onwards and upwards mate, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Next year you'll be at a new course, your new irons will feel like extensions of yourself, Wigan will go back up and you'll be back amongst friends. Most of all you'll have a new appetite for golf.

I don't know whether I feel better or worse now.....;)....

Cheers mate, All I'm focusing on now is getting fit in time for the York do. If I can't play, then it won't be for the lack of trying.
