Anyone else love the look of these shoes!!! Saw them in the latest GM and can't wait till December. They are top of my Xmas pressie list with no chance of being toppled...

Murph and Rick I'm relying on your Ireland jaunt feedback here in relation to comfort and performance!!!

I reckon theyll be 120 notes when they are actually on sale. What don't you like about them Jon? Clean, simple and trainer like. Very modern. Never been a fan of traditional shoes. Looks like murph got the name wrong though unless the XPS stands for Xtra Performance Squirrels!

Since there is a pair hopefully winging it's way to me as I type courtesy of GM/Footjoy I'm probably a bit biased but they are extremely comfortable and they do look great. When you hold them in your hand the sole looks a bit cumbersome but you can see from the pics in the mag that you really don't notice the sole when you see someone wearing them.

I actually had the opportunity to see the shoe before Rick and Murph as one of the footjoy guys I played with on the Thursday was wearing them and I can honestly say they looked great and I didn't notice the width of the sole. When we saw them on Friday morning I was actually quite surprised how wide the sole is in places.

I think a lot of people will be put off by the sole when they see them up close for the 1st time but it is something of an optical illusion once you get them on your feet.

I'll give another update when mine arrive (hopefully soon).

Hi Tiger, the shoes were super comfy and really did help with preventing foot rotation. There's a good video review on You Tube which features Richard Fryer, FootJoys European Marketing Manager. He hosted our trip out to Ireland together with Neil from GM. Top bloke!!

Footjoy always scream functional but boring to me. They just don't have the shelf appeal of Adidas or Puma shoes in my eye!

Thats just my opinion and having owned Dryjoys I can appreciate their quality and following.

I've got to agree with The Craw on this, they look a bit cumbersome. I've only seen them on the web & in the mag though.

I'm sure they are packed with technology etc but they are just lacking in the looks department

I'd much rather go for a pair of Icons or some Lambda's for about the same price

I'm glad this was posted. My fj sports are 18 months old now and are looking a bit tiered. Me and the misses are just back from Christmas golf shoe shopping and the adidas 360atv were top of the list. They just got bumped!

There is no way just after being launched these shoes will be anything less than list for a few months, there is no way I am paying 200 sheets for a pair of callipers on my feet.

I can't see them being nay less than £180 even online when they arrive. Not sure even I'd justify that for a pair of shoes but never say never. I want to see a pair in the flesh to see if it matches what Hawkeye has told me

At 120 odd I would buy a pair. More than that, probably not. They are seriously good shoes, and top of my list if I was buying, but silly money is silly money. Luckily I am getting a free pair. It's a shame they are being priced out of the range of a normal golfer.
