Last night I decided to treat myself to some Footjoy Hyperflex spikes. I was asked what size I was and said 10.5 or 11, depending on the make. when the guy measured my feet on the footjoy guide he said I was 8 1/2!!! I thought I had been 10.5 or 11 for 30 years so a bit of a shock to see I only had pixie feet. I tried 8.5 and they fit really well with plenty of support so went ahead and ordered them. Only time will tell if they crush my feet on the course

Any one else had a shock when measured properly?

Not quite so extreme however I definitely ended up getting a half size smaller than my usual size when I got my Hyperflex.

I won pair of Footjoy Icons, which I had to design & order online. I ordered one in size 8 & one in 8½, I usually take one of these sizes & have different sized feet. When they arrived they were both too small & I had to have them stretched. So opposite experience from you. They fit OK now, I'm pleased to say.

I went to a footjoy fitting day a few months back. Always been 12 wide in Dryjoys, mainly because of the width. When I was measured they said I was 10.5 xw. Ends up with 11wide as they are off the shelf. So not that far off from what I was having.

Your shoes will probably feel a bit tight so start with, but will give over a couple of rounds.

FJ have gone a bit odd with sizing. I have AWD Casuals and Hydrolites which are 9s and spot on (I am a 9).
But I have Hyperflex and DNA and both are 8s because they are bigger made than other shoes in the FJ range. Does not make it easy for buying online so these days I just go to Greaves Sport in Glasgow where I can try them first.

I'm fairly sure that when I got my feet Footjoy measured I was told that all Footjoy shoes out would be a 9.5 wide except if I bought DNA then as they tend to be a half size larger I would need 9 wide

Have to say 9 wide in DNA are the most comfortable golf shoe I've owned.

I ended up with a size 10 rather than the usual 11 in the dna 2.0, which is funny because I was exchanging them for some size 11 adidas x tour360 x that where too small.

I'm not questioning whether FJ or anyone else has more generous sizing, more the fact that the measurements say my feet are 2 1/2 sizes smaller than the shoes I have been buying for 30 years

My first golf shoes purchased last year were size 6 FJ casuals which fit fine (my normal size). Only bought them as that was the only pair they had in my size.
