footjoy shoes

Thanks but no thanks. I am sure they are great but I don't think they are the best looking shoes. Anyway after todays episode on the course where I went to tighten my laces and one of them split in two meaning I had to play with a loose shoe I will be getting some reelfits I think.

I think you will find them a lot cheaper than £140. When the Dryjoy PODS came out their RRP was around £120 and most place had them on sale for £99.99. I think you'll probably get them for £100-110. That said I'm not overly thrilled by the design but quite intrigued to see how the memory foam goes and how comfy they are after 36 holes.

Dont like the look of them at all personally.

However, FJ do make great shoes. I have a pair of Black Dryjoys that I must have had 10yrs, admittedly they didnt get used for a few seasons, but they are still going strong.

Ive used Nikes too - some fairly mid cost ones picked up in Florida, and whilst they are OK, I wouldnt rave about them.
Treat myself to some Adidas Tour 360Ltd early this spring, and they have been super comfy straight from the box, like slippers, but I cant see them lasting more than maybe 2/3yrs at best.

However, my naughtiest moment this year was whilst in Florida again in Oct with family, and Golflocker had for sale FJ Classics Dry Premier's for $169, ....i couldnt decide on which colour so ended up buying 2pairs with a view to Ebaying one when I got home to partially fund the others.
Once I got home tho, I just cant part with em !

They are undoubtably the best made pair of golf shoes I have ever felt, absolutely supremely well put together, and will need a dozen rounds to fully soften up.
But, once done, these babies will last for years and years. Needless to say I wont be using them until spring.

Extravagant ? Of course. Justifiable ? Damn right........you're only here once.

:-)

I'm hoping that 'feeling like a pro' will inspire me to 'play like a pro' more.

The classics would not suit my course anytime of the year i need a good pair of wellys,my powerbands have been good considering i rarely play on a dry surface i really need to move clubs
