Getting a bit self concious wearing my 2013 Adizero Tours following the huge amounts of rain we've had over the winter and considering a shoe change (shame because they are so, SO comfy). Looking for something that's similar in terms of being light and minimalist and have come accross this range from Footjoy. Anyone tried the spiked or spikeless? Anything decent to say about them?

Seen a few pairs for £80 instead of £120 recently. Worth it?

They can be had for less than that too

Spikeless:

I've ordered a pair of the Spikeless last weekend. Hoping to get them ut on the course once it firms up a bit.

I received a pair of these last year as part of a forum opportunity and can honestly say they are some of the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn.

I do also have Adizeros (which are very comfy) but these are mainly used for 'wetter' conditions.

I've got a pair of spiked M-Project and they are a very comfortable pair of shoes, however they are minimalist in design, the tongue barely fits across the width of the lace eyelets and as such let water in. I think the problem I had with mine was that my trousers got wet and with them resting on the shoe the wet leaked in.

A spikeless pair I imagine will be fantastic in the dry during the summer, but in the wet, there are better shoes out there.

I only wear mine now at the range.

Thanks for the replies guys, and the links to cheaper websites!!

I'll pick up a pair of spikeless for fairer days. Any suggestions on a light comfy spiked shoe for those wetter days? Don't think I can justify continuing to walk around in my currents ones given the damage they're doing unfortunately.

Can recommend the spikeless version, have a couple of pairs, they are very comfortable, very light.

As already been said, they are very low very minimal doubt the spiked pair (through no doubt great shoes in there own right too) would be very good in very wet weather and wet ground conditions.
