Have been recommended these for their sturdiness, I have fallen arches and can ruin golf shoes like you won't believe!

I'm here to ask if anyone can back up what I've already been told and would recommend buying or if you would recommend something else.

Thanks

Do you wear insoles?
I have fallen arches and wear insoles and have them in my Hyperflex and are superb, only issue was I went up half a size

I've had a pair for about 3 years and they are still going strong.

Love FJ shoes myself.

Yeah I do wear insoles, would you recommend going half a size up then?
I do mate if you go for the hyperflex, I found them half a size bigger than any other footjoys I've owned, I would recommend you take your insoles when you go for the shoes.

Always had Dryjoys.

Unfortunately I'm wondering if cost savings/pressures has started lowering quality.

Of last two pairs, first pair leaked after 3 years with upper detaching from sole.

Two years on the latest pair also has uppers detaching from sole along the sides and just starting leaking slightly. The leather of the uppers on this pair has also started cracking (quite deeply) across the toe 'cap', whereas the older pair are fine.

The shoes are always cleaned and regularly polished

I've stuck with Footjoys for the last 10-12 years and in all honesty the hyperflex are the best footjoys I've owned.

Won a pair two years ago - ripped my feet apart , massive blisters on toes and heels - gave them away

Yes, I have got a pair of these and I can thoroughly recommend them. They are quite sturdy, and can take a little while to break in.

Having a pair of Dryjoys, and having binned 2 pairs of16 month old FJ Contours after suffering plantar fasciitis through them ( I have had dropped arches on and off for a long time) I have moved to Eccos Biom hybrid. All the grip I could want in all weathers, and no foot pain. FJ are history for me now. The quality and life longevity isn't there anymore.

I have always had problems finding golf shoes big enough for me except in Footjoy and I always went for Dryjoys for winter. This time last year, the only way I could get any in my size was in Myjoys. I went for two pairs, one of Dryjoys Tour and the other of the newer Contours. Both have been superb but I was really pleased with the Contours. I went through a very wet winter with both alternating. The Tours have been excellent but I have tended to save them a bit. I would recommend them, but they are not everyones cup of tea.
ECCO should be good, but I have never found the correct size.

Big fan of FJ's (you may have noticed) but note that some of my Icons from just over two years ago are starting to wear at the edges. Not enough to worry yet but a concern given the price. I am beginning to wonder if quality is starting to go down. Something I'll have to consider going forward. Ecco may be my next port of call
