Looking at buying a pair of Hyperflex shoes but can't decide between just a normal pair with laces or to go with the boa laces

Looking at the boa version there looks like there is more things that could potentially go wrong with them but they would give you the ideal fit.

Anyone currently got Footjoy Boa shoes in any range and have you experienced any issues with them or am I just worrying about nothing?

I've got a pair of 3yr old Dry Joys and a year old pair of Hyperflex both with BOA. I have had no issues with either pairs and find the BOA system much more convenient than laces. I would have no issues sticking with BOA over laces going forward.

Just about to splash out on my 5th pair of boa's, bought them for over 8-ish years now. Never had any problems.

I love the fit of the boa's, they fit superb and IMO well worth the extra £15.

I've had the footjoy sport and hyperflex both boa.

My DNA's are boa and they are brilliant, coming up two years old with no issues, next pair of golf shoes I buy will be something from Footjoy with BOA

The BOA system works well but unfortunately I've just found that Footjoys are just crap these days. I've had them leak after a few months and several of my playing partners have returned theirs to the pro for the same reason

Had to buy the standard hyperflex. The size 8 I was looking for and had been in stock since Wednesday sold out overnight and they are now discontinued.

Couldn't order before as had to wait on a friend returning the size 8 and a halfs to get my money back and he couldn't make it there till this morning.

2 in stock last night when I went to my bed and both sold overnight!

Only positive is I saved myself £8 ordering the standard pair

Can't agree with that. I always buy FJs and never had a pair leak on me.

Never had a bad pair of FJ's but never really warmed to the Boa system. Always thought it was gimmicky and don't see what it gives that laces don't. Get a pair that fits properly and never had any issues with laces

I've a pair of shoes with the boa lacing and i would say that is the only feature that actually works, shame they were about as waterproof as sandals and as well made as a fiat strada from the 70's

My adidas winter golf boots/shoes are BOA and I love them, prefer them over any laced shoes.

I have an used pair of golf trainers I bought on ebay, as well as a pair of footjoy softjoys I also bought on ebay for next to nothing. To get me through the rest of the winter I just bought a pair of Hi Tec DriTecs I also got on ebay for just £8. They were only used twice, and today I wore them for the first time. They are the most comfortable pair of any type of shoes I have ever worn. Regrettably my golf was terrible, but that wasn't the fault of the shoes.

In my experience, a snugger fit, evenly tightening all the way down. AND for those with a bad back, less bending - believe me, this has been a real blessing!

I have a couple of pairs of FJ's fitted with the Boa lace system and love them. Much more convenient than laces, especially at the end of the round when your legs and trotters are not "feeling the love".
Only downside is that they tend to weigh a little more than their laced counterparts, but we're only talking an ounce or two at most, so you most probably won't notice a real difference.
If the style I like are offered in Boa versions, I would go Boa all day long.
