Football season ticket rant.

Tashyboy is retired in six weeks and part of our retirement plan is having a season ticket. Man City has extended one end of its ground and today was Tashyboys turn to get his season tickets.
The starting price and a big selling point from City was £299.

first problem was being unable to buy tickets online coz an iPad will not play flash player, so telephone sales it is. 3/4 HR later Tashyboy is told all £299 and £380 have been sold and the next cheapest is £600.so 2 x tickets costing £600 will cost £1200.

not flipping happy at all. Retirement sucks.

Lovely ave just had a phone call from a delightful girl called Anna from City. Who asked why ave not bought season tickets,(reasons above).
i told her an 100% increase was not what it said on the tin. Lo and behold she said she has had the same conversation with quite a few City fans who has done the same as me and said "sod it".
ave told her that all they have done is extended and given present season ticket holders the first option of cheaper seats, and you can't blame them. furthermore I told her why should I buy one this year at £600 plus when I could of done that last year.

PS am goin sulking elsewhere coz there's no sympathy on ere😕😭

The stand facing the main stand (dug outs).

Before the stand was made Bigger it was named "the kemlyn rd" as it ran parallel with kemlyn rd.

Kemlyn rd houses were then demolished for the stand as it is now.

Decided not to renew my season ticket this year, had enough of watching mediocre football and partly dont see why I should give an italian crook my money in advance, will pick and choose games to go to and go to the away matches, which have a lot more atmosphere, going to place a bet on how many managers we sack during this season my hunch is 4 if I win treating myself to a new set of irons and some lessons! .. East Stirlingshire do a decent season ticket (it's all relative) U-16s pay their age in pounds, 15yr old gets a season ticket for 15 quid.
Season tickets work out about 8 quid per game (a lot less with concessions, 50 quid per season) and they allow opposition fans with their own teams season tickets entry for the same price.

Fair enough they need to do all they can to get the crowds in, but it's refreshing to see them treat fans with a bit of respect.
