Football Season Predictions 2025/26

I hope that people on here were better than the Opta Super Computer which managed to get every team wrong this season, some by up to 10 positions. They had Liverpool to win and Sunderland, Leeds and Burnley all to go straight back down.
Only marginally 🫣 . I suspect scoring is going to be low this year. Only City winning the cups will save zero points for a good number.

Settle down, so did I. 😁 Those were the logical predictions in all fairness. The promoted teams had gone back down in the previous two seasons. And there was no reason to imagine Liverpool would fall off a cliff despite adding two or three good forwards, in theory.

Some shockers on my behalf with Brentford and Andrews. Also Ekitike.

Thankfully got Arsenal as title winners and City to win the FA Cup right.

Ok, here we are then. Champ's League final still to be decided, but it doesn't affect our winner who cannot be caught. Congratulations to @irip - he's done the Predictions Double!!

Clarifications
  • Top six nominees who were in a relegation battle lose a point.
  • Putting Chelsea to win the league lost you a point - I'm sorry but they finished 10th.😂
  • Bournemouth & Sunderland relegation shouts lost a point because they finished in the European places.
  • As always, shouts for first manager sacked who didn't actually get sacked at all lose you a point.
  • The votes suggested nobody stood out for best signing but Kelleher and J.Pedro were generally good so earned 1 point. Wirtz and Delap both got plenty of votes for biggest flop so I gave them 2 points each. Of course, a vote for Wirtz as best signing subsequently lost you point.

Thanks Ori, for organising this brilliant little competition. Always look forward to seeing the final results, especially when realise you can be so far off, like having Sunderland & Brentford as sure fire relegation favourites, yet there were never in any trouble.

Here’s to next season guys.
