Just watching my beloved Chelsea. Essien gets booked for diving. Where? In the opponents penalty area for a pen. NO. Just outside the box for Mata or Lamps to hit a free kick. NO. To stop Southampton scoring. NO...............
Mid way in his own half for no reason. Why oh why oh why. I often get more joy watching my local county league team in a sat afternoon than these muppets.:sbox::sbox::sbox:
 
I've been going off footy for a few years now.
Trying to win by cheating is the order of the day now.
Just plain and simple cheating.

Same here. Shameless cheating and lying on show constantly...how can they not be embarrassed by their antics?? Beyond me.

Yep agree

Football is becoming an awful sport - all about the money.

The players these days haven't got a clue about sportsmanship

You have to blame Chelsea and later Man City who bought what they wanted at whatever price and whatever wages , when you pay that kind of money you have to win , how does not matter , both clubs are still paying big money to many a player and manager who are no longer at the clubs .....................best thing for football is for Arsenal to win the league , at least they have done it with club money not like the other two ................game stinks anyway with all these cheats and its because of the money from very very deep pockets , needs a rule change and clubs should only spent what they make :)
 
I blame the managers and refs. As has been said, to much money involved and it's starting to creep into rugby. Every cheating foul that a ref picks up should be an automatic £ large fine for the manager and club.

Yes Blackburn bought a few players from around the country

The Mancs have spent a lot but it's mainly money earned

I think they should have a committee that's sits after the weeks games and reviews all this diving and cheating and give bans regardless of what punishment the ref gave at the match , 2 match ban say and if caught again its a 4 match and again a 8 match ban , that includes all those rolling around holding the face when the ball hit the legs say , everything that's suspect..............:clap:
 
It is still my first love but that love is waning due to the constant cheating and general fannyness of the modern day player.

Mind you after today possibly not!!:thup:

Could not agree more. Forget the two game ban go straight in with a four. If the one team has more than 3 players getting banned then start docking points. At some point the managers will have to start telling players not to cheat.
 
It makes it worse when you've got idiots like Michael Owen saying if you see a challenge coming then you've a right to go down. How's about trying to stay on your feet & actually trying to score a fair goal.
 
Sadly I have to agree with everyone's comments. I have never been a football fan as such, I grew up watching a different sport, however, I too get sick of the constant cheating, swearing at the ref and even laying hands on referees. Goalkeepers knowing a goal has been scored and just blatantly denying it!
And do not start me on corners, when I played the game for my local pub team if I was waiting for a corner or free kick and someone put his arms around me it would have kicked off big time. Oh and when we got hacked we got up limped it off and waited to do the same to the guy that had just done it to you, no malice intended just part of the game.

He's certainly not the type of player you want when fighting relegation. They've got a few decent players & if the new manager can get them playing they could turn it around.
