Foo Fighters....and gigs in general (a phone rant)

I recently spent 45 minutes hitting F5 until I got through and got tickets to see Foo Fighters and Wembley in June 2015......to be honest I cannot wait!

I've been watching some live gigs on youtube and cannot help but notice how (what seems like) 75% of the audience seem intent on waving their phones above their heads trying to take photos and video the gig. There are a few things about this that irritate me:

1. You cant be enjoying the gig if you're spending all your time trying to video/photo
2. The quality is 99/100 rubbish....the music is too loud and they are nearly always too far away
3. You're blocking someones view behind you


Maybe I'm just turning into a really old fart (I'm 34) but it irritates the life out of me.

Cannot abide this "hold your iPhone" up in the air. It has really spoiled the last 2 gigs I have been to. Problem is, who do you co plain to? Unless Shepherds Bush say that they will evict anyone who does this, it's going to continue, and I don't think Shepherds Bush are too interested in my one or two bits of commission they get a year out of me
 
I went to a show over Crimbo- sign said no phones or pictures/video with phones. Compare said the same. Tannoy message said the same.

Show starts and out came the phones, it was like looking up the aisle of a very long plane with mini tv's on each headrest.
 
I went to see Peter Kay in Newcastle and he stopped his show and asked people to put the phones away and watch his show.
Agree it should be banned, just don't know how you'd do it!
 
It really is annoying. Still you should have a great time anyway. Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes bowl was one of the best gigs you have seen.

Most comedians have theatre staff looking out for recording equipment and will eject people if necessary.
 
Yep is very annoying. People seem to have no consideration for others trying to enjoy the gig. It's up there with fools who 'hilariously' pee in a cup and fling it up in the air sending out a spray of urine in a huge radius. Any other walk of life and this wouldn't happen. Was at a Kasabian gig recently and saw someone get their comeuppance when the pee landed on a large gentleman's partner/daughter. He wasted no time in dishing out a beating. When the stewards came in they shot the pee flinger out. Was a great moment.

The Foo Fighters live are up there with the best. Enjoy!

I was desperate to go to this and it fell the weekend I went on holiday then they headline tinthepark 2 weeks later the weekend I got home, raging.
