After Lees misguided attempt at lying on his CV about his education on The Apprentice this week. I wondered if this is fairly common practice. So if you have lied on a CV, what was it and why did you do it, and did you get found out?

PS This is between us and obviously won't go any further ;)

I have never lied as it is inevitable you will get found out eventually, and how much of a wally would you feel. When he got caught out he looked like a right dick! I loved the way he didn't try and argue it he was just like 'oh alright then you say its 4 months so it is 4 months' he has no chance of winning now. When he admitted he did it deliberately in the board room (despite the fact it was obvious) that was another nail in his coffin aswell. He must have felt so stupid.

What a fool.

The "really" annoying girl is still there though. Claire...is it? What an annoying woman.....I could rant, but what would be the point....
This is the girl who reckons she made £80 million for her company....

I haven't lied on a CV...no...

He should have been fired.......dishonesty is the one of the lowest possible traits in a person.......he made out it was a mistake!!!

of course he might have 'mis-spoke' a la Hilary (I was shot at, oh actually i was given a rose) Clinton

Or then again, you could spend public money on paying your own company for mp's expenses and just say "mea culpa".

Now, in the world I live in, if someone diverts money dishonestly for their own greed it's called fraud, and most probably worthy of a criminal investigation.

To be fair to Lee, had he not lied on his cv, he would never have got on the program with his educational record, and once on it, has performed well in the tasks. He may yet win it.

On a similar note, a friend of mine was applying for a job, and on the form it asked if you have a criminal record. He has, for possession of weed. He asked for my opinion of whether he should put this on the form. My answer was no, because you won't get the job. He was worried what would happen if they found out, and I figured if they found you were a criminal, they would expect you to lie, so you are no worse off.

Dont be too hard on Lee. He was stupid to think that on this programme they would not check but I know loads of people who have not been entirely truthful on their cv.

Whilst the 4 remaining candidates make good amusing telly, I wouldn't employ them for any job I can think of. They are all equally repugnant, just for different reasons.
