so i shot all square last night over 9holes.. GREAT stuff.

i went back out tonight only for a stupid decision would have done the same again!

shot 34 last night and 35 tonight.

last night as per my previous thread i had the potential to go 1 under with a birdie on the par3 9th, only to leave the putt on the lip.

tonight i found myself in the same position and with last night in mind i stuck it 5 foot past and then missed the return. stupid decision.

but hey its all good practice for saturday.

hope everyone that was out today enjoyed their round as much as i did!

I must come over for a few days soon and play some of your fine parkland courses.
Already played Port Arlington, Mount Juliet and one other round that area. Bootiful

You did say you were off 15?

yes not by choice.

my best 18 in comp is 10 over..

hopefully that continues to come down :)

thanks for the putting tips Bob. (do you remember give them?)

my stance is pretty weird in that pic brendy?! almost like im not fully committed to my strike, im very upright arent i?

Aye Phil, you were a bit around yourself, still got it away ok though.

Bob, its my home course, Bangor GC, http://www.bangorgolfclubni.co.uk/, another of James Braids courses with plenty of decent names associated. Not the longest at just over 6400 Yards but plenty of trees and undulations to keep most golfers on their toes.
You should get over, there are plenty of good parkland courses within half an hour of Belfast city centre, Belvoir, Bangor, Malone, Shandon, Clandeboye, Royal Belfast, Scrabo amongst many.

Norman Drew was our club pro until 1997, Davey Jones before him (left to join the European Tour), David Feherty was a member early on before turning pro at 19. Garth McGimpsey, Walker Cup player and Captain (who also played in the Masters two consecutive years beating Jack Nicklaus on the practice day in 1986 when Jack went on to win it ($4 cheque and letter from Jack still has pride of place on the stairwell up to the function rooms).
Michael Bannon is our current Club pro (and as I have probably mentioned plenty of times before, Rorys Coach) who could be seen regularly on our practice hole/range belting irons until recently when he got his home practice facilities finished.

Obviously a big draw is that i have also played there!

maybe next match you'll have a pro in your team Brendy :)

Gents, I envy you. Lovely looking course from that pic. I fear I would smash it into the tees on the right before my "power draw" had time to take effect.
