I'm off to Florida in a couple of weeks. One week of the parks up in Orlando then we're going down to Port St Lucie for some golf.

I'm staying at the Sheraton right on the PGA Village, which already has 3 courses. So will probably play there a couple of times.

What other courses in the area should I stick on the skyCaddie ?

I'll probably play another 2-3 times. Looking for reasonable green fees (~$100) not to far to travel.

Thanks

Take your pick mate there are 100's.

If I had to play only 3 based on places ive played before they would be as follows

Southern Dunes

Grand Cypress (I've played all 3 9's but not the New Course, either 2 9's of 3 are great)

Panther Lake at Orange County National.

No need for skycaddie either, GPS provided on your buggies

I used to have a place in orlando, so have been out there quite a bit golfing.

I'd strongly recommend Celebration Golf Club which is in the Kissimmee area. It's great track with some fantastic holes and has some of the grandest villas you will see lining some of the fairways.

Mystic Dunes is a cracking course and not far from the parks either. I've played it several times and IMO is as good, if not better than most of the resort courses near to disney. As good as any course in the Orlando area.

Timacuan Golf Course north of Orlando - near Lake Mary is also fabulous. About half an our drive, it's again well worth playing and offers better value than some of those closer to the parks.

About 20 miles and 1/2 hour drive south of Orlando near Haines City is a course called Diamondback which is tough but has some beautiful holes. With it being slighly off the beaten track, it's cheap compared to many of the resort courses in Orlando and in my view better than most.

If you get chance, play all four of those and you won't be disappointed
