Has anyone any views on the value of flight balls for practise? I mean the regular sized plastic balls with air resistance perforations.

I use tham in the garden sometimes but I do wonder whether they do any good for me.

I have a bag of them....I use them sometimes for playing in the park on larking around the garden. In the old days, I'd tee a few up and whack 'em at the hedge before going down the club....quite useful, but they don't tell you much!!!
They are fun for small pitching around the garden (you can tell if you've thinned it!)

Not good on a windy day also don't you feel like your arms nearly come off your shoulders if you really have a lash at them. There are foam ones which are a bit better.
Hang a wool blanket over the washing line and you can hit real golf balls at that!

Sure! but if you can pitch them cleanly around the garden without turning the lawn into divot city, then you can be confident on the course. Off a tee, they do show the direction a bit...until the wind get's em!

Mostly, the dog steals them and buries them.....probably dislikes the whoosh noise!
