Flight Bag

Hi All

Looking for a bit of advise, going on my first golfing break abroad next month, so looking to get a flight bag.

I am as always on a budget, so just looking for one that has wheels, and large enough to hold a standard size carry bag

Anybody know any decent budget options out there?

With any softcover bag it would be a good idea to put a brush handle that is longer than your driver in the bag to offer some sort of protection to the club heads

That looks pretty reasonable. As SAPCOR1 said, protect the clubs. I tend to use a lot of bubble wrap around all of the clubs and the broom handle tip

Just be very careful what you buy ! The airlines have started charging £10 per kilo over your 15 kilo allowance I had a lovely Taylormade flight bag but had to sell it as it was 7 kilos on its own. weigh your bag with clubs to asses what bag to buy as they all quote the weight. Callaway make a lightweight one.

I also use some of the foam protectors that new iron sets are packaged in, slip the irons in and then zip up the rain cover of my carry bag before loading into the flight bag. They only last a few trips but then I just ask the pro for him to put some by for me when they start to fall apart.
