Fishing for lake balls.

Played today and noticed two lads in dry suits just coming out of one of the ponds at our place. Having a bit of a natter with them and they are from Yorkshire. They have a contract to go around the country fishing out balls. They get cleaned up and the club makes a few quid out of it. They had hundreds nay thousands of them, but the water looked flippin freezing.

Believe it or not but the divers would have been pretty snug in their drysuits. They almost certainly would have been wearing a wooly bear suit underneath thats makes it toasty warm.

There's a guy who's been caught for the third time at the belfry trying to do it at night on the 18th on the brabazon. Its a premium spot because almost every golfer uses pro v's that the corporate people give out.

Can think of better days to be immersed in murky cold water scrabbling around for balls but if they make a decent living then why not

a guy i spoke to last summer does the same at our club.

I WAS TOTALLY AMAZED.on how many balls he was getting out of just 1 pond on a par 3.he had 3 wheel barrows full up and they wernt his 1st,he reckon he had another few hours in it to get most of them out.there must of been thousands.

They eat grass and crap. That's it. We have a problem at our place on a couple of holes where they seem very at home
