er depends were you live, Daves Plaice in Mansfield. Mini fish special is £3.99 and it’s gone up at that. Met a lovely couple from Watford in 2015 in Mauritius. They were saying fish and chips was £15 and was a monthly treat. ? it would of worked out cheaper to drive to Mansfield.

Missis T once had fish and chips in Cleethorpes. It was the first time I have ever seen Albino peas. It was £6’s worth of rammel.

Why did I first read that as movement??The Indian takeaway we use, heavenly food, charges me £7.00 for a Lamb Tikka Balta, £6.50 for lamb balti but it's worth the extra 50p. A naan, huge so shared, is £2.50. A pilau rice is £3.00, my wife will have this. So, based on my wifes being the same price, it is £19.50 for 2 people, plus a guarantee that you will be so wonderfully stuffed that you can not move for 2-3 hours and sleep will take even longer

Currently on a Haven caravan site for a few days away with the kids. On site fish and chips for tea last night. Fish and chips twice and sausage and chips twice = £39.60. I know you pay a premium on site, but thought that was ridiculous when the Mrs told me how much she’d paid. Not very nice either.

7am, 12.30 pm, 5pm and 8pm to midnight.
A company from Inverness bought the Seaforth Restaurant and Takeaway about 8 years ago and they bumped up the prices to ridiculous figures.
The fish is always freshly caught from the harbour, so at least you know you’re getting quality.
The locals have pretty much boycotted it.

5 fish and chips for around £50 is pretty normal fir an ok place, a decent place expect nearer £60.
Most over rated town I ate in was Peterhead, very average, had better in Bridge of Allan

Assume that's curry, ribs and chips and probably a desert too. I've never seen a Chinese takeaway anywhere close to that per head for a main.

We never seem to get a choice of fish. It is always haddock. The best I ever had was in Port Erin on the Isle of Man, it was plaice freshly caught that day by the owner who had a fishing boat.
