Played a round with IMurg this morning.
Playing off 14.3
Didn't start well, put my first drive in the stream off the tee. However recovered well and managed a 5 for 2 points. Things then went very nicely, a par on the 2nd followed by a birdie on the par 5 3rd. Good form carried on until the 8th (shortish 160yards par 3) were we both put our drives in the pond to the left of the green, needless to say I blobbed the hole. Managed a good 9th hole and finished with 21 points, in 39 stokes, 4 over.
Back nine was very slow, we caught up with the 4 ball in front of us, they obviously don't understand how to let the group behind through. That said, we both played fairly well, although IMurg's driving was a bit erratic! I managed a couple of pars early on and another birdie somewhere along the way. Finished with 20 points in 40 stokes 5 over.
So a total of 41 points in 79 stokes, 4 under my handicap for me, Imurg mananged 35 points with 3 blobs on his card.
Can't imagine why Imurg wanted me to put the card in for a handicap check...........!
