Hi, recently joined a society and due to a drop out have the opportunity to go on their weekend away in September.

Gonna be be two nights sat & Sunday. 3 rounds and meal.
Been told £350 all in, does this sound reasonable?
anybody played the courses?

For £350 it's not bad - could be got cheaper

I've had a look on a few websites and seen it for around £270-£310. Think I'll give it a go still just for a social.
Maybe offer to look around for prices next year when it comes to booking somewhere. Think they just called venue and took price on offer.

Sounds expensive. We have just been on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday 2 nights DBB, 3 rounds at Abbotsley for £175.

Ive seen other courses at £175. Just spoke to mate. It's £300 all on, thought it was that plus £50 deposit. From all I've read they're pretty good courses. Got the senior tour there too so they've probably added price for that.

Juts came back from playing 5 days in Dumfries. We had 5 nights in a hotel with breakfast (nothing special but very nice) and 5 rounds of golf. The organiser even managed to get some great prizes out of the fee we all paid (£320 all in)

Weve got rounds at Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch & Nairn for a total of £190 next weekend so that seems a lot to me! :whoo:

Wow! I can't find nayland any cheaper, so I think they've paid maybe £30 over the odds for it.

Just maybe they've not searched market for rivals. Will see how it plays. It's not extreme amounts of money so will give it a go. Courses both look pretty good.
