Feeling a tad nervous and lost the first hole so not the best of starts. Started to remember that breathing was advantageous and ran out 4&3 winner with a hole in one to boot

A pretty good debut!!

What's mexican for female bandit. 😁

What a start and well done Me duck.

Cheers guys. It was a bit weird as didn't know how to react to the hole in one as celebrating seemed a bit poor in matchplay. I did kind of force my opponent into a high five though!

The miserable git, ave never seen an hole in one and if you cannot be happy for your opponent when this is achieved then they need to flog there bats.

Ps, how much was the bar bill, a miserable git I know got one at Worksop on there 18th in front of a packed clubhouse and went to the car and drove straight home so he had no bar bill.

It was weird as she was in the bunker and said "I'll just have a practice shot" so kind of took the momentum away. She was a nice opponent and I must have been very irritating as I also had 4 birdies but then kept giving her a hole back with a right mess up!

Bar bill not too bad as we were first matches out (3 to a team) and did wait for a while for other matches to finish but no-one showed so we all headed home.

Well played amanda!

My opponent in a scratch team match got a hole in one a few years back, not much you can do and we did have a wee celebration.... But definitely through gritted teeth a bit.... I chipped in later in the round to win a hole I looked like losing so it sort of evened up!

Nice one AJ👍👍👍👍👍

Well as you insist :-) 165yd into wind, uphill. Took my trusty little 9 wood and smashed it - lovely high draw and all over the pin. Saw it bounce hard/high and then disappear. Got there and no sign on the green so looked through the back at first and then walked towards the hole and saw the pitch mark about 8" away and then saw the ball nestled in the hole - nice feeling!

Which club did you mean to from Brampton ?

Ah well that has been complicated and currently at 3 clubs which will be just one by the end of May...that one being Wellingborough which is a beauty of a course imo, stunning setting with Harrowden Hall as the clubhouse and a very strong ladies section who seem very friendly too :-)

I have heard nothing but good things about Wellingborough so our society are going there this year - looking forward to it.

Very good choice of club

Yep. Once it was on my radar (number of different reasons!) it wasn't coming off again. Last Thursday I played with the sun out and it's such a stunning setting. I play a couple of opens there each year as it's so nice but never really took the time to properly look around. The gardens are just amazing, good practice facilities and even an outdoor swimming pool!
