Well, after my recent burglary all f my new gear pitched up yesterday, after a quick trip to the range last night I was quite looking forward to using it all today.

First impressions are very positive, my driver was solid if unspectacular all day until the 18th, I averaged around 240-260yds all day, some a tad wayward, some straight and then on the 18th I creamed a 282yd straight down the middle :D

I only used the 3W once, and that was pretty solid too, nice ball flight and straight.

And then I come to the irons....at the range last night, everything was straight and with a much better ball flight than my old MX-17's, nowehere near as much height, however on the course today I really struggled with the irons and dont recall hitting a good shot with them all day, I kind of muddled my way around whilst scoring really well, I opened with an 8 on a par 4 for a blob, and then scored 22 points on the remainder of the front 9.

I didnt fair too well on the back 9 though, mainly due to being knackered & out of practice.

The most pleasing part of the day was my short game from inside 60-70yds with the new wedges, the amount of spin these babies impart is unreal and i've never known me be able to stop balls on greens as quick. Very very pleasing.

And then there's the SGX, I only got it out of the box last night so havent had chance to subscribe to one of the payment plans yet, but from the distances i've seen on the course it is unbeleivably accurate!!

All in all, a good day, but need to do some work with the irons big time!

Hope all goes well with the new stuff.

I changed my irons in May(ish) and just getting to grips with them now, hope it does not take you too long!

Indeed!

I think i've kind of sussed the driver, with my old driver I used to setup with the clubface slightly closed which somehow used to get a straight shot.

With this one I need to address the ball with the clubface dead square otherwise i get all sorts of fades, slices etc....its just weird addressing a driver with a square clubface, takes some getting used to! lol

Me too just took my new mx-200's out and hit the ball down the range, first tume in roughly 15 years, hooked 90% of the shots, let's see what my tutor makes of my none game next week.
