First medal since April last year as my back was just sooooo painful thru 2012.

Changed my swing a few weeks ago and took it for it's first test drive:

Played the first 8 holes quite well, got to the 9th tee at level par...

3 over standing on the 10th tee!!

Kind of chopped my way round from there until standing on the 18th tee (par 5) at 7 over and really needing an eagle (or at least a birdie)....

...... made a TEN :mmm:

The secrets in the words "I changed my swing" I bet you were a little more aware of it as the round went on and old swings and new swings started to creep in. It happens James, I played with a PGA pro at Gleneagles last week and he lost 5balls with a sudden dose of the "pushes" and was mortified. I know he had to give me 12 shots and talk me through each shot/putt but he didnt plan to get beat by me off the back sticks but when your swing is only a little out of kilter off a very low handicap ....... Disaster looms!

I'm not against it by any means.... I just spent so long showing people an exaggerated 'hands forward, ball back, hand path in, weight on the left.. etc etc' that I could barely get the ball airborne!!

So are you now following a different method, or can we expect a release of a book & DVDs at over £100 called 'Just One Way To Play Golf"?

a ten is nothing!

I had an 11 and a 12 two weeks on the trot on the 18th and was only 1 over and 3 over respectively on the 18th Tee

so man up, use a 'normal' swing save yer back and start enjoying golf again..........:ears:

I threw my card away in disgust after finishing 8,8 in the June medal only to realise later i still would have buffered as opposed to taking my 3rd straight .1
