... Hi all, have my first medal next weekend . Last medal was May 2009, playing off 4.

I have to say im a bit nervous. i've played a 3 events since getting my handicap last month. Pairs BB s/ford (6th) , 4BBB (4th) and the Annual Pro's comp (3rd, 38pts) so while i am not playing too bad, i have to say my backside will be twitching like a rabbits nose. :D:D

Club Champs is end of July and while i don't think for a second i will win it, hopefully the "1st tee nerves" will be settled by then.

Because he got it back last month ? Im guessing through supplementaries ?

My Hanidcap was obtained through the usual methods. Joined a club, handed in 3 cards. Should have been 4 but due to the new CHD system (discussed on previous post) the lowest they could run it was 5.6.

My last handicap lasped before the new database system came into force in 2010 , so no playing record on file, so i had to put one together for the club.

if you put in cards for 4 (which would have meant at least 2 cards at 4) they should have applied to the County union to allocate 4 - they just can't do it themselves.

we, via county union, allocated a new handicap of 1.5 last week!

5.6 is simply the lowest they can allocate without reference

anyhow, if you are a 4 you will get down quick enough
