First hole in one

Well I finally did it - today I got my first ace

From the tee on our 160m 9th I hit a hybrid which pitched behind a small mound in front of the green and never re-appeared. I walked to the green expecting to see it on the putting surface but there was a severe absence of a ball. I then got a bit despondent thinking that it must have caught a flyer and gone in the water behind, but just to make sure I had a quick peek in the hole and ............

I am chuffed to bits (cost me in the bar but who cares) :cheers:

Our ninth is a little tickle of 160 m with a sand wedge. Hit it sweet with a slight draw. My proV 1 X pitched a foot behind the hole and spun back. I knew I had hit a good un and was not surprised to get my first hole in one. Only surprised it was not my twentyth this year. 👍😁

I was playing in one of the club's roll up comp's so thankfully I was with 2 other golfers (I can't imagine how I would have felt if I'd been on my own)
