Due to moving house/work commitments, I only made it to the range last night for my first hit of 2016.

Apart from a round at Elie on Hogmanay, I hadn't hit a shot since late October.

A session mostly of wedge and 7-irons to work off the rust. But for the last 20 balls I ventured into the rarefied atmosphere of hybrids, 4-iron and Driver.

Must say that I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of strike...I even flushed a couple of 4-irons !!

Sets me up well for the first of my New Year lessons next week

Buzzing to get back out there....have a great season y'all !!

I tried this myself when my driver and I had a bit of a falling out, I left it outta the bag for a few months in the hope that when I went back to it all would be good but alas it was not to be so I bought an 'X2 hot' and upgraded the shaft to a 'Tour Stiff Green' and now we're all back on track !...

playing for the first time in three weeks tomorrow, not expecting much.not touched a club in that time. longest break ive had in a few years.
