First Ever Eagle!

Hi all i got my first ever eagle yesterday!!

It was on a Par 5 477 yards in bad conditions.

Took my Driver off the Tee and smashed it about 250-300 yards!

Then took my 3 iron out and hit it absolutley sweet,the ball landed about 1 ft away from the pin!

Couldnt believe my luck,i have eagle attempts before but they have always been long putts.

So im very happy now

Hi Guys, newbie here!

Well done that man!

I got my one & only eagle to date in a society at South Shields in June 2006. Had parred first, 2nd 350 yard Par 4 - tee shot about 210, then 7 iron i believe. Hit nicely, appeared to be on target, but undulations meant we could not see where the ball came to rest. Couldn't see it as we approached the green, so looked in the hole (have tried this many times since to no avail! )So one under after 2 holes for a then 28 handicapper (now 16, but just a society handicap)

Never had an eagle myself although I have had a hole in one. Must be a cracking feeling, especially on a par 5 such as yours mate.

I'm confused Basher! So you've never had an eagle, but you've had a hole-in-one. So was that an eagle or an albatross?
