I got my first ever eagle today!! The 5th at my track is a 285yds par 4, I drove the green from the tee and left my tee shot about 8ft away, then holed the putt for an eagle! :D :D :D

I followed my eagle up with losing my next tee shot OOB and making a complete mess of the hole and carding a 7 on a par 4, then 3 holes later on S.I 1 which is an uphill par 4, I was in a greenside bunker with my 2nd shot, picked the ball clean off the surface and lost it about 40yds on the other side of the green, I believe the correct ruling was to take a drop into the bunker which I did, then fluffed my next shot, finally got out of the bunker and then 2 putted for an 8 :(

Also had a card wrecker 7 on another par 4, and in between all this 8 pars & 5 bogies & 1 double.

Another shot at sub 80 goes begging and ultimately the card wreckers have taken the shine off my brilliant eagle :(

Well done Keef - top man.

I had a chance of an eagle on a par 4 last night and to break 80 for only the second time. Blew both! Played at Cobtree with a couple mates - £13 for twilight and we managed all 18.

First half: I started with a double bogey, bogey, par, par, triple bogey (lost ball), par, double bogey (3 off the tee), double bogey and a par to finish the first half at +10, 45 shots.

Second half: As it's a Par 69, I needed to cover the back 9 in level par 34 to break 80. I thought, no chance! Bogey on 10, drove the 11th and had a putt from 12 feet for eagle 2, didn't hit it but got a birdie. Then a par, bogey, par, bogey, birdie, par to stand on the 18th tee at +1 for the back 9 and needing a 3 to break 80. Squeaky bum time!

Cracked a drive dead straight...nice...until it ran out of fairway. Tit. Should have hit the 3-wood as I thought. Could not find it, dropped in the rough for a 2-shot penalty, chipped on a 2-putted for a double bogey 6 and a total of 37 on the back and 82 overall. Bugger.

Not the toughest course, but I played some very good golf, so happy enough. Especially pleasing to do it again after playing so well last Thursday - only 2 and a half rounds in a row, but best run I have ever had! Took the cash again as well, so happy days!

Society day at Chelsfield Lakes on Sunday....hope it continues!

I got my first eagle at RA recently (not my first ever) and it was like the first one again. Short par 5 (478) and hit a drive and a 5 wood onto the green and canned a 12 footer. Happy days.

Good shooting on your very first, but I'm sure it won't be the last
