Played my first ever comp today at Aylesbury Park, a Stableford Rollup with Imurg and CVG

I have only recently had my first handicap set at 26 and I would normally expect to get about 24 / 26 points
However today I got 32 which is a new record so im well chuffed, especially as I blobbed 3 holes (1 badly)

18 points on the front 9 (Blob on last) 14 points on back 9

Now to work on getting that handicap down

good shooting, playing my first on the 11th April to get a handicap proper as I need a medal for 1 in 3 cards. the 2 I've put in are 94 and 97 from last weekend so heres hoping I dont blow it with a 110 :o
ps - is that the blue Oyster Cult symbol?

Yes it is

The hook-and-cross logo is that of Kronos, the king of the Titans and father of Zeus in Greek mythology, and is the alchemical symbol for lead (a heavy metal), one of the heaviest of metals. Sandy Pearlman, their manager at the time, considered this, combined with the heavy and distorted guitar sound of the band and decided the description "heavy metal" would be aptly applied to Blue Öyster Cult's musical sound.

The logo was designed by Bill Gawlik and appears on all of the band's albums.

So now you know

Thats pretty good shooting although I'm expecting you to be off much lower by the time you vist Ascot (well you will be if your broyher gets involved). That's the beauty of stableford that you can have the odd blow up and move on. The secret is to keep these to a minimum and make a good medal score next.

Well he didn't beat me! Got 34 meself. Good front (19) but fell away on the back - my chipping problems appeared from nowhere halfway round and I missed a few short putts. very costly.
Credit to Fragger. 18 points on 8 holes was good scoring. 2 bad holes in 3 and I thought the wheels had come off for good but he kept plugging away and produced a respectable score.

But he still didn't beat me!! I know its going to happen one day but I'm going to put it off as long as possible.

Fragger came in 3 rd in the 3 -ball, CVG coming in with 32 as well but pipping the hacker on count-back. Life's tough.

Well done, I bet your dead chuffed putting in a better round with a card in your hand.

But the most important question hasn't been answered...

Did you beat Imurg???

EDIT: Ok it has been answered... damn these slow typing fingers!!

But we will have to wait and see how the comp result goes, coz Im not fussed what you level 1 and 2 guys do

Im against the other numpties on level 3

But one day, I will wup your ass well and good

Did you get the new sticks today???
