First day pairings

Here we go, the tension has definitely gone up a peg or two now the pairings have been announced!
Both have thrown up a couple of surprises as far as i see it - seems strange that Donald and Howell are not playing - I imagine both are being primed for the foursomes with their steady games coming to the fore - but still! As for no McGinley and Stenson, no big surprises there
US style - JJ Henry and Cink - Casey and Karlsson got to like that, bit surprised Verplank didn't get the nod
Looks like 2-2 to me, Europe taking the third match and halving the second and last but Woods firing USA to an early lead

Tiger and Furyk will beat Monty and Harrington 2&1; Casey and Karlsson will get a half against Cink and Henry; Olazabal and Garcia will beat Toms and Wetterich 4&3; Mickelson and DiMarco will beat Clarke and Westwood 2&1. Close of morning play - 2.5-1.5 to USA, Tiger having gathered the first of his five points.
