First Comp Eagle

I posted something similar last month when I got my first eagle ever. Last night in a matchplay knockout I got my first Eagle in a comp. My opponent was not best pleased losing with a birdie! Sorry to bore everyone but had to share it.

Sorry guys, didn't want to bore people, but as you asked.... it was our 12th hole which is a par 5 that was playing straight into the wind. I hit a great drive right down the fairway and was left with 210 yards off a downhill lie. I hit a perfect 4 iron to 10 feet. Smashed the putt into the back of the cup. lucky it was in the middle as it probably would have gone 10 feet past! great feeling, felt better than my first which was a bounce game. This was in a match off the whites.

Nice! I have had my share of eagles but all have been out of competition.

I was thinking about this whilst playing our course last week..

I will never get an eagle ' in regulation' As is it physically impossible for me to hit over 500y in 2 shots..

I nearly holed my 2nd an a par 4 once... But it will have to be a fluke for me to get an eagle in comp at our place...

I holed my 2nd shot on our par 4 8th last night, in a 4BBB matchplay.
85yds, nice little pitch shot with my 54* wedge, flew 1 ft past the hole and spun back in.
