Managed to win my first cup last Thursday and got my name up on the wall at Seacroft so well chuffed :whoo:
I came in with 38 points so didn't think i did enough to get my hands on it, but it turned out i just did enough. Its the Scholes Cup which is for hc's between 18-24, a mate of mine came in with 39pts but after hearing i had 38 he didn't enter the scholes and just entered the Thursday stab so he was gutted :rofl:

The handicap is coming down nicely so far this year too so all is good at the moment

Nice one mate, i wasnt bothered about the bit of money side to it on thursday i was just so glad i won so i can at least get my name on one of the shields in the clubhouse, so when i walk in with my mates i can see my name in the golf courses history

there was 2 comps, thursday stableford and the scholes cup(18-24hc) i went in both for £6, he just entered the thursday stab £3.
so he put his card in but didnt enter both coz he heard i had a good round.

You enter the comps AFTER you play the round?

No, on the Thursday stabs you can play anytime and go out with who you want. It's not drawn out so as I finished he was going out so general chat with how did you get on etc, you have to put your name down and pay before you play

Aha, gotcha. So he didn't enter 'cause you had 38 points and then came in with 39? He won't do that again
