Just for a bit of a laugh.

First albums for me were
Fine young cannibals - The raw and the cooked and Chris Rea - The road to hell.

My Dad recorded tapes of each of the above for me and my brother with new Sony Walkmans for driving down to Oxford for a holiday ?

Still like both now ?

Got bought two albums at the same time

Duran Duran - Seven and the ragged Tiger

U2 - Under a Blood Red Sky

Either a birthday or Xmas pressie, my old Gran gave me a copy of Through the Past Darkly by the Stones.....must have been '69 or '70
I was 6 or 7 and I had no idea what I was listening to.....:ROFLMAO:

As with @Imurg my Gran got me a dodgy album for Xmas when I was about 8 or 9
I believe it was by Englebert Humperdinck, but even at that age I knew it wasn’t cool, so don’t think I ever played it and expunged it from my brain cell.

First Album I bought I think was Mud with “Mud Rock” from 1974,
But it was so long ago that I could be mistaken ?

I was in the hospital when my parents got me a Walkman and The 1st Album from Modern Talking.
They were huge in Germany. Imagine Peter Andre like lead vocalist with long hair and Simon Cowell like backing singer on guitar and producer. (He actually is the lead judge on the German C factor)
