well, had my first real 3-ball today.....JEEZ, it was NOT GOOD!!!!
shot 111, had a 10 (hit 2 balls OOB on 17th) a few 7s etc, but on the plus, i did par 1 hole!
Terrible, nerves got to me from the first, slicing all the drives, topping balls BUT i didnt lose a ball, so.......well, no, not many positives!! to be fair i hit (very) few good shots and when i did hit a good shot, they both told me so.
ive been invited back to play again, in fact both were very keen. got on really well with both blokes, so that definatly helped!!
roll on the next game, aim is to beat the last score!!

Dont worry mate, that's the first proper 3 ball done and dusted , and to cap it off you have been invited back.

Golf has the habit of kicking you in the nads when you think things are going well. (for no reason)

I don't think it matters how many games you play , every so often (or more than often in my case), you just play arse and have to accept it.

Just look forward to your next game mate.

Cheers

Midnight...

Well done for getting out there and never giving up.
You might of had more negatives than positives but it's the positives that make you want to come back.

Keep going mate, good luck...!! ;)

Good stuff mate gota start somewhere sometime..forget the score at the beginning & just get out there ..all behind ya & you soon be posting your story of best score ever soon..

i really enjoyed playing actually, on a few occasions i was close to asking matt what i had so far, but didnt want to be dis-heartened as i knew i wouldnt be getting close to my best score! but, as with anything, doing something for the first time creates nerves, fingers crossed i play how i now i can on wednesday! bit of practice and 9 holes 2moro, then il have tuesday off (gardening for the missus im afraid!!)

Well done for persevering. At least you know what to expect next time. My advice would be to get there a bit early and hit a few on the range or practice net so you are nice and loose when you get to the first. Don't try too hard either. Thse guys obviously enjoy your company so don't go out trying to impress. Just play your game and if you get in trouble find the shortest route out, take your medicine and move on
