Finally managed to put a score together yesterday, for the first time this year. Thought I could have been so much better (isn’t it always).

Gross 76 CSS 73 so a cut to just take me to cat1. Level par at the turn with a 5 on a par 3 in that. Was 2nd handicap, but won the scratch and was the only player to have a two so should get a few quid.

Most pleased with that I putted ok esp after 3 putting the first .

Nice when it eventually starts to come together. I tend to 'click' in July as well.

Played Archerfield last week and all parts of my game were 'like old'.

Golf is great fun when it all comes together.

I know what you mean about putting, I now look to hole from anywhere on the green as opposed to just hoping not to 3 putt.

its been putting that has been killing me in comps, matchplay still sinking putts no problem. at the start of the season i was happy with my putting and had confidence i could almost sink anything. Irons striking is great the lessons have really paid off to the extent the pro said to just go and play the rest of the season and i'll see you in Oct.

I feel your pain.

Similar to me last year, got down to 6, but my putting deserted me, averaging 3-4 3 putts a round an they were killing my scores.
Tee to green I was fine, but I was playing to about a 9 due to putting.

Bought a putter I had from a few years ago and playing well at the mo.

Congrats on Cat 1.

Well done son, how many shots will i get of you now.

Excellent play. My "great" score is still threatening to burst out soon. Managed net 72 (+2) in medal today with four double bogies chucked in the mix and two 4 footers missed (one for par, one for birdie). Mind you, a win, a two and Cat 1. If Carling did golfing Sunday's...
