at a loose end this afternoon, I decided to visit the Par 3 9 hole round the corner from me to see how my game has improved over the last 6 months.

To start the first 2 holes ended in double bogey and bogey, however from 3 to 9 I played 4 pars, a birdie and two bogeys result in a PB of 32 - previously best 37.
As a footnote I scored by first birdie ever today so am over the moon!

Also managed to sort my short game today - no mucking about, grip half way down (opposed to bottom) and played the shots with my regular swing opposed to a steeper locked arm approach. Very happy with the control and overall outcome of todays half round.

Putted very well - actually been using the V easy everyday (I wasn't paid to right this!)which has put alot of confidence in the putting stroke, looking at long puts as par opportunities opposed to two puts for bogey now

Playing early doors (06.10 am) and my home track tomorrow - cant wait, let hope I close to 90 in the near future and bring the HC down.

Didn't know there were two 6.10's in a day. Won't it be dark. Well done on the first birdie and now to get one on the proper course too. Keep going. I might be coming to you for a short game lesson!

There's only one 06:10am (spare a thought for the older members!) sunrise at 6.03 tomorrow, 1st out so home before 10. Mrs is out for day so also have a tee booked for 11:30 which I may use as well (I will cancel if not - as per a recent thread!
Regarding the short game, my pro told me to stop reading every advice book under the sun and treeat them like regular shots. S far it's worked?

Grats on the first birdie mate.

Sounds like the game is really coming together.

Lots of positive stuff about the v-easy being said on here I really must try it out. $$$ Bob $$$$ :)
