Well i finally got a set of clubs nothing amazing Donnay something or other to see how i get on.

Also took a trip to the driving range on my way home from collecting above said clubs. Oh my god do my arms hurt now and i am actually dreading waking up tomorrow as i fear they will ache even more lol

Someone remind me why i am thinking of getting into golf again please

Will keep you updated but hoping to go to the driving range once a week for a while before taking the plunge and going on a course. One thing i was remarkable amazed at was of the 60 balls i hit there was only a small % that i didn't get a correct connection with when off the deck or a tee :whoo:and also seemed to go in a straight(ish) line

Welcome to the madness of both the forum and golf. Stick with it. In my opinion, lessons are the way forward so you get a good solid foundation in the basics (grip, alisgnment, stance, posture) which will hold you in good stead going forward

Best of luck once you start getting out to the courses even if you are spraying it left right etc you'll get even one good one and that will be the one that makes you want to come back for more.

I remember getting out on the courses well 9 holes to start with was driving me mad trying to master it (still no we're near it by the way) hitting the ball way left then next one way right.. And next thing you know bang one down the middle you think ah I got. Then if course it's back to the same left and right..

But that's the fun of it remember a game for life. And it's that one good shot that makes you come back for more the next time.

Remember practice practice practice. In the end you get out what you put in
