Since the rain is still coming thick and fast, I've decided to take the plunge and book some lessons. I've played 3 times this year at 2 different courses, shooting 86, 98 & 96. The first round the ground & course was much drier, the 2nd & 3rd was a bit of a washout. I went to the range yesterday and couldn't hit a damn thing, it was embarrassing.

I've had lessons before (over 2 years ago) and plenty of them at that, so my swing is this franken-swing of 3 or 4 different pros. This leads to my swing thoughts being different each week... It's like pulling a swing out of a hat. Whichever I get that day I'll go out with. So frustrating.

Hopefully this Thursday I'll be able to get something going again, and although I'm not expecting a miracle, I at least hope by the time I do play next I'll be able to get something consistent going.

Here's to dreaming...

I started playing again in the summer and managed an 86 after about a month back i then gave it up (silly ass) and sold all my stuff i had bought . I have now just bought a new set of cobra amp irons but lots more to buy yet , the wife is chuffed to bits , not! . I have often pondered lessons but i would love to know if a pro could give lessons to a kack handed player?
Hope the lessons work out for you

Principals are just the same. Just remember when he says keep your left arm straight he means your right.:)

I'm having lessons from a guy called Pedro at Pine Ridge golf club. I did think it was a wind up when I booked, or that I'd accidentally called a Salsa club instead...

The lesson went well. I liked the fact he wasn't at all pushy with booking other lessons, and instead said come back when I'm ready. Only stance & back swing changes in the lesson, although there is a big change already. Excited to get something much more consistent going, compared to my last swing!
