Finally broke one hundred

First round of the year and I managed to break 100 by a solitary shot. My previous best was 106 so a decent improvement. Managed 2 pars in amongst it which was a nice bonus. Played some really solid stuff (for me) on the back 9 with my worst score on any hole being a double bogey. Hit every fairway on the back 9 as well Infact I was swinging so much better than before than I was bouncing through a couple of the greens. Need to go out and work out my new yardages, get the putter a bit warmer and hopefully break 90 in the near future. This game really does get addictive :clap:

Well done matey. Don't be disappointed if you don’t break it again for quite a few games. I broke 100 and it was several games later before I did it again. My PB now is 90

Thanks everyone. I'm sure if I play as sensibly (read not trying to take the cover off the ball every shot) and continue with my practice I'll continue to improve. And perhaps most importantly enjoy myself rather than worrying about the score until the end. Life is too short to spoil a good walk worrying about numbers after all

Good advice,I'd say about 80% of my practice is short game at min. It's my Achilles heel.

Well done you. Now the ball striking is coming together get some putting practice and short game stuff done. You can do that at home on the lounge carpet or in the back garden too!
