Finally Broke 90

With it only being my second round for 4 months, played and finally did it, with an 89, i am ecstatic, cant believe it. i think a minor change in the bag has helped, now going with a 3 iron and a 60*, the 60 has especially helped my short game, bunkers and 20 yard or so chips.

Well played d1217; it's good to share reaching a personal goal with others who have an interest (unlike partners!)

I failed to beat my record score (+13) by 1 on Tuesday, despite 3 birdies (chip in from 30 yards + 2 1 putts on par 5's) and 4 pars, was let down by putting (3*3 putts + a 4 putt(!)) - all when on the greens in regulation) - albeit from distance, and also 2 8's on the other 2 par 5's (first due to bad position in fairway bunker, 2nd when stupidly going for green with 2nd shot from around 240 yards with stream to negotiate, so pulled into trees. When will I learn to play safe when needs be?

Well done.

I broke 90 today for only the fifth time, and the first time since June 2008. Shot 86 and felt like I could easily have saved a few more shots. Hopefully I can keep it going now!
