I have been playing well, yesterday I played in a 12 hole comp at Davyhulme and I scored 27 points, my weak point, my short game has been good recently and starting with a par gave me a boost, Sadly my woods decided to let me down, I rarely hit a good drive followed by a good fairway wood on the rare occasion that I did I had a birdie. I found trees, bunkers on wrong fairways, total disaster and I had 2 10s and an 8 and failed to break 100 for the first time since April.
So yet another 0.1 increase, the 8th since my last cut way back in June.
Overall I guess I have had a decent season, handicap down from 19.4 to 15.4, but that fact I got down to 14.6 in June makes the last 3 months disappointing.
I have had high spots, getting to the England Golf Grand Medal final being one, and I have played well in Matchplay with 17 wins and a half out of 20 matches.
So now winter golf approaches and I will just have to keep practising and hopefully come out of the blocks flying next March.
I will being making my donation to H4H for failing to beat Birchy shortly.
