I'm away working and need to transfer my company accounts for last year to my accountant. It's around 16MB so not going to be able to email it to her. Any advice on any (preferably) free secure file transfer sites I can use?

Does your accountant not have a secure cloud based drive they can give you temporary password protected access to so that you can save the file there?

I take it your not MTD compliant?
Email them the file, or stick them on an USB stick and post them recorded delivery.:)
My accountant is able to see my accounts all the time, it's all done online (MTD)

What's MTD compliant?

I changed accountants during my last company tax year. I'm now set up on Quickbooks through her but it doesn't cover the period of the accounts.

MTD...make tax digital, it's the HMRC way of wanting things done.
Were you on Quickbooks before? If you were can you not send her the CSV?

I use Quickbooks online, and the accountant can access my accounts any time she needs to. It can be very beneficial. It also makes VAT so much easier to sort:)

Only started on Quickbooks from Sept 21 at the start of my tax year. Previous to that I put everything on a memory stick and dropped it off to my old accountant. Would've done the same this time but have been sent on a job at short notice so didn't have time. I'm not VAT registered so thankfully don't have to worry about that.

Ah...understand.
Could the wife drop it in to them?
TBH being VAT registered isn't that big a worry....not using Quickbooks anyway as it keeps a constant tab on it.:)

Use Dropbox. You can upload you file and send a download link.

This is a good idea, when I was applying for jobs and they want to see all your certification, I’d send them a link and they could see all my tickets that way, you could do the same with your accounts.

if you have an Amazon Prime account, you can get 5GB for photos & storage. previously you could get much larger storage but it has shrunk to 5GB

I actually have an O365 home account. I get it discounted through my work, and I share it with the family using 4 out of the 5 shares, each with 1TB of storage.
