How can the governing body of world football allowed to descend into such a cesspit.

Lets hope that when the long-overdue wholesale clear out happens, the bunch of slimy individuals currently running the show get prison terms and not book deals. And that the 2018 World Cup venue gets a re-vote.
 
I though Blatter had been cleared of any wrong doing and the other candidate was now suspended along with another delegate. Looks like another term for Blatter which will mean no goalline technology or anything to move the game forward
 
Corruption is common place in FIFA but they are reluctant to do anything about it, which to me shows that those at the top are at the heart of it.

The only way FIFA can survive is for Blatter to stand down and call for a full independent enquiry to clear FIFA of all those who are corrupt.

But somehow I don't think that will happen, it will limp along with allegation after allegation until it becomes so rotten that the world cup will be given to the highest bidder, say a country with no interest in football like Qatar ......... oh we're already there then ;)
 
They are all starting to turn on each other now, Warner is accused of corruption so he then starts to produce evidence that Qatar bought the world cup (no surprise there and would not be surprised to see evidence that Russia did likewise).

Fifa needs a total clearout like they did with the IOC but there does not appear to be anyone standing up to do that. Football needs to get organised and move forward or the game will implode. There are already leagues who want more power than the National Association, National Associations that think they are bigger than the regional bodies and regional bodies that think that they should be running the game. If Fifa does not get its game in order and then start cracking skulls then then we will start to see breakaway leagues for the super rich clubs and national teams made up of lower league players.
 
Where there is power & wealth there will be corruption of some sort , all that will change is the level of it .. your government , our government all these FIFA , olympics etc .. Its the way BIG business is done you either join the boys club or you dont get anywhere ..
 
What I find remarkable is that OUR government were willing to spend BILLIONS trying to impress this bunch of F*** wits and host THEIR tournament thus increasing the value of FIFA.

AND, hand on heart - did we offer any brown envelopes in your opinion? In it to win it? Aye, all the back hander brigade have so much egg on the face it must be difficult to protest with any strength!

The only real strength is the advertisers so look out for their pennies worth!
