Just seen on the BBC website that Fifa vice-president Jack Warner has resigned. FIFA's initial statement made me chuckle:

"As a consequence of Mr Warner's resignation, all ethics committee procedures against him have been closed and the presumption of innocence is maintained,"

Surely this is a mistake and the spokesman meant to say "the presumption of guilt is maintained"?!!!!

Spot on mate!

I have dealings with local FA and, whilst they may not be corrupt, they are a total bunch of to**ers!

I did a hearing for my football club some years back where an eejit called Barry Bright sat. I thought he was a real pleb - some years later he was one of the guys on the FA who picked Sven and laterly others for England manager which not only showed how high sh*t could float but he also proved he didn't know much about football!

Not a chance - Jack Warner has resigned so there will not be an investigation. We can only assume that he has done a deal with the crook in chief and decided to go quietly to save FIFA from having their dirty secrets exposed to the world.

The whistle blower, Chuck Blazer, is already being investigated by the ethics committee over remakes made - so standby for him to be hung out to dry by FIFA.

Nothing will change, in a couple of months Sepp Blatter will hail the new improved super clean FIFA but nothing will have changed, there still will be the stench of corruption emanating from the FIFA HQ.

Unfortunately you are going to be right! Wishful thinking on my part! :D

Well done to Lord Triesman for bringing all this up, and to the FA for abstaining in the vote with Blatter. I listened to a lot of radio debate about this and the FA where ridiculed by many associations around the world.

More to come I think!!
