I played today in a Lancashire Ladies qualifying competition at Preston and for the most part I played really well and parred 10 holes, I missed qualifying for the finals at Fairhaven next week by just one shot. Normally I would have thought hard luck but today I took FOUR shots to get out of a bunker on the 13th and walked off with an 8. Even more annoyingly I was aware of the bunker and was playing short of it but thinned my shot!
The 8 would be stableford adjusted to 6 and mean I was in buffer, but I suspect CSS will come down so I will have a 0.1 to add to my misery.

We all beat ourselves up at times, thats golf.

If it was a really bad decision, maybe a little bit, but it was the right decision and just a bad shot. It happens.

On a separate note, I may be available next midweek for our match, have you any spare days next week?

Shame, although the phrase being aware of the bunker may have been a contributory factor (only you will know).

I have a lot more problems with the hazards I'm aware of than those I'm in blissful ignorance of!
