With the Masters around the corner it got me thinking as to which is my favourite major. Without a doubt it has to be the Masters for me. The course always looks spectacular. A great test of all types of shots. Also being in the same place each year I have got to know the course albiet from armchair. What do others think

The Open. But in all honesty the US Open and the Masters have pretty much the same space in my heart. Love watching all three of them, often put a load of money on to make it even more interesting but if none of them are in contention then it's just as good.
Not a big fan of the USPGA out of the four. Enjoy watching it just not the same as the others for me.

The Masters for me, just ahead of our open. There's usually a tight finnish and its a very spectacular course. Also it brings with it the start of the better weather.

Much prefer the US Open over the USPGA also, not sure why but its never really quite as good as the others, YE Yang did do well in the final round last year to try and make it a bit more exciting though

There can only one and that's The Open but this year The US Open is being played at Peeble Beach which looks amazing well after the 5th hole anyway.

THE OPEN

No need to say more the best, most respected and i beleive oldest major.

Its played on the best ever courses and it is

The Open championship played for the claret jug who could want more???

True golf is played at the Open, links turf, fast running greens and fairways. Not the manicured target golf.

That said I'd love to experience being at a Masters.

The Open Championship, by far.

The US Open and PGA have improved in recent years, mostly by choosing good courses, and The Masters is a nice season starting exhibition.

But there only is one world major.

To me The Open and The Masters are evens, on one hand you have links golf of the finest kind, battling the elements and having to invent shots then you have Augusta National, the pinnacle of parkland golf where the weather is not as important and accuracy is king.
The history of both are unique. For anyone who hasnt already done so, I'd really recommend reading up on the course, competition and personalities that belonged to Augusta.

The Open - don't forget the winner crownd the "Champion Golfer" for the year.

Masters - lush, and I want to play there!

US Open - we never win it so I'm not that bothered

USPGA - Probably a stronger field but oh so dull.

Open and US Open for me.

Both are very stern tests of golf under very different conditions. I don't particularly like seeing golfers struggle but I do like to see them coping!

Love them all, but The Open is the Open. I hate the restricted coverage of The Masters, whereas there's nothing better than sitting down at 9am on the Thursday morning for 12 hours uninterrupted coverage of The Open. Bliss/.

The Open for me all day long.

I love links courses and i think you must have an array of shots to get round in a good score.

I'm not saying augusta and the other courses are easy but when the weathers bad on a links you've certainly got your work cut out

The Open for me but I always look forward to the Masters after a long winter, it marks the real start of the golfing year.
