Favourite "guilty pleasure" Album/Artist

I can't really claim it às a guilty pleasure, as I don't really feel guilty about it, but I still listen to my old "Prince and the Revolution" vinyls. Great music from a time when I was first getting into music.

Only concert I ever left early was Westlife at The O2. HID knew I liked a boy band (Take That) but also quite kinda liked another (Boyzone) but got confused and surprised me with tickets to see Westlife! Didn't want to be rude so off we went and it was flipping awful. Thought we might get lynched as we left!

I'm no expert on boy bands, however, I would like to express the opinion that all of these bands are awful! ;)

Take That are brilliant - seriously! Seen them live twice and what a show. Very different to the best (Bruce) who gets on stage and does his stuff for 3 hours but great all the same. It's a huge stage setting and lots going on with Take That but brilliant stuff - I love Gary Barlow (do I need help...is there a support group somewhere)??!!

Just cringing through this thread while watching the rolling stones rock and roll circus on the iplayer. The very definition of a guilty pleasure. Check out the Jethro Tull opener !! For those with a sensitive musical palate, the stones come in at about halfway...

The 60s. where did it all go wrong.

Two real 'guilty' pleasures :

Style council EP 'Introducing the style council' with that fabulous picture of Paul and Mick in their glad rags in (I've always assumed) Paris.

An Erasure greatest hits album. Can't remember the name, but good old singalong elector pop. Good old Vince !

It's guilty, because it's a bit cardigans and loafers after the Jam !! You're right of course, it could as easily have been in the 'best' category.

By an odd piece of serendipidy (sp) I notice that Mr M Talbot plays on this and was also doing his stuff for Dexys when I saw them the other month. What a quality ivory tinkler (and hammond organ maestro) he is....

Every few years I put together my top 100 tracks. And right now, "Never gonna give you up" by Rick Astley is my No.1 song of all-time. I know, I'll get my own coat.
