It's that time of year, well for the shops it has been since September, anyway, what is your favourite Christmas song?

Fairy Tale of New York always gets the full play through and listen and Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses has grown on me and for a little bit of alternativity (see what I did there :D ) Jingle Bells by Skid Row, gets your foot tapping.

What's yours?

I'm a classic Slade man, although I do find it hard to pin it down to one song.

I love Chris Rea, Driving Home, Emmerson, Lake & Palmer, I Believe in Father Christmas. Plenty of others as well.

I actually really don't like the Pogues song. Hey ho.

I like pretty much every Christmas song, including quite a few carols. Maybe its because I'm a huge Christmas fan, even getting a little giddy when the coke-cola ad gets its first December airing.

My music favourites, apart from some old classics, start in the 70's. Definitely Chris Rea & ELP but the Pogues is probably the favourite. Equally, of the carols, In the bleak midwinter.

The Greg Lake song is my favorite.

I hate the Wings song, but the worst by far is Bowie and Bing

Wizard Slade Shakin Stevens Wham Gary Glitter and Frank Kellys 12 days of christmas
and who can leave out Kevin bloody Wilson santa claus you (&%%$$$^&$$£%^^)

3 I like -
Let it Snow by Dean Martin
Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms.
Last Christmas by Wham

I have a keyboard and the Fairy tale of New York gets a bashing on it more than most. Although I'm not at all religious I do play almost all of the carols.

Slade, Wizzard, Greg Lake.

Honourable mention - Christmas Wrapping by The Spice Girls

Am a big Pogues fan, see them loads of times back in the day, and after they reformed. Fairytale is a stone cold classic, no matter how often you hear it, and a testament to the genius of Shane's songwriting, but my all time Christmas favourite has to be this

I like most of them, even the corny ones to be fair. Will listen to these all the way through though:

Pogues - Fairytale of New York
Jona Lewie - Stop the Cavalry
Pretenders - 2000 miles

Hymn by Barclay James Harvest.

End of thread 🤓

Don’t like the new one by Sia currently being played to death on radio 2,
Sounds like she’s drunk and mumbling the words, it’ll still sell by the shedload though .
