so my 18 y/o came home and tried to take a few brewski's from the G1BB0 coffers... nah!

he then offered to fight me for them. Now bare in mind he is 6ft 2" compared to my 5ft 9"

he is 18 I am approaching 41.... lets just say I body slammed him onto the floor, he had me in a headlock which I reversed and now I feel like an 80 year old bloke with whiplash

he admitted I am tough as fook and he wouldnt want to mess with me in the street

bless him :)

An 18yr old offers to fight his dad................... for a beer?

You must be so proud

I would NEVER put up with that, if my son was that desperate to have a flippin' beer he'd be packing and figuring out how he's going to be earning money to buy his own beer whilst putting a roof over his head. I think you need to sit back and consider what just occurred.

I'd suggest that incident goes down on the 'NOT the proudest moment' list!

+ 1

Sounds like the scene from Police Academy! Very nice, heart warming family tale. Thanks for sharing.

I'd have told him to go and get some then kicked him up the backside and smashed his head with the fridge door lol order restored.

Then made him drink some nasty spirit so he can see the error of his ways.

My sons three, I need to get in training. Sadly we are planning on having him trained by his grandad, www.kwokwingchun.co.uk so I may never stand an effin chance

Well said. Sounds like it would be a blast living next door to you. If I recall is this not the second or third time you have posted tales of a similar "heart warming moment"

Should I want to save my relationship with my son I would have more fun just pouring the beer down the sink and watching his face... then I wouldn't keep beer/spirits in the house ever again - I would probably be better for it too. Would probably stop me having any more fights and making unnecessary eBay purchases... it's a winner!

Pullin' your leg Gibbo, I figured it was just a mess about thing.. a bit of male bonding.

Not my idea of a great night in with the kids though :)

I wrestle my cat. Not for beer either. He might only be 4 kilos, but he's a tricky little so and so, and vicious as. I've not won yet. I think he cheats, he thinks I'm easy. One of us has no idea. I think it might be me.

Sounds like my eldest daughter, I did smack her bum one time for not standing up for herself enough. She laughed and asked me if that was all I had got? .... shes 8 years old. :D

Only ever offered my old man out once. Felt rotten afterwards and he was too sensible to goad me further and we forgot about it and never mentioned it again. Miss the chance to have a beer with my old man these days whatever the circumstance
